We signed up with the team Amanda in February 2021 and she went above and beyond anything we could have asked for. She was super accommodating, fast, efficient, informative, and overall, very professional. Over the last two months she was able to correct and rectify 2 years’ worth of mistakes that our previous bookkeeper made. She was also able to support us in alternative ways of doing things that will save us (our company and us personally) money on a continuous basis. She is very knowledgeable (especially with all the covid stuff that is new to everyone) and it shows in her work! We used her for personal taxes as well and got the biggest refund we have ever received! I would 100% recommend her for any accounting needs!  I have since been working with Whitney and Elaine and they are amazing as well. 

I was asked by Amanda to give me a review of herself and her business. 

I am giving a 2-star review not because her effort and processing was not done proficiently but because at the time I was in a difficult situation and under CRA review and Audit. I had hired a bookkeeper to process my Audit who did nothing at all and had already paid them $5000.00, and when it came time to the Auditor on site, the Bookkeeper had made even more mistakes and issues causing a bigger problem and more in-depth Audit. 

I was referred to Amanda and CRA referred her as well, when meeting with her I asked for a quote and she unable to give me one. I appreciated her honestly, but she said that at minimum this could be 20-70 hours depending on what was found and what needed to be done. 

I was very unhappy with that and her rate, and more so just the situation, however after the ordeal was completed, as she did a labor only services and due to issues, I had, she extended me a 20% discount and a payment plan which I appreciated. I would say her workmanship and demeanor was outstanding, but as she mentioned you need to hire a Accountant from the beginning, so if that what you are looking for, she’s your girl. 

Pricier than some but worth it in the long run. After the ”Ordeal” she set me up with a set of books, I took her classes which she extended to me free of charge, and I now do my own books and have her complete my year ends. 

I want to be honest herein, that my rating is more so due to the price not her knowledge or expertise. She is worth it, completed to what you get from Big Firms or crappy Bookkeepers.

I have worked with the team for over 5 years, and the experience has been incredible. They guided us through bookkeeping, accounting, tax strategy/preparation and much more. Even though we relocated the business south, it was a no brainer to keep our services with Forge, and now everything is done remotely with no issues. I could not recommend Amanda and the team more!

The only reason I have given 3 stars instead of 5 is due to the mobile function offered. Mobile is only offered at the location where she is currently located, however she services other areas and therefore needs to charge for it. 

I understand the need for the charge but would prefer a more effective person directly in my city rather than sending documents and or having her come. I guess I’d say I wish she was in my city. 

However with that said, I had used her for 3 years and switched to someone in Calgary and now switched back due to the negligence for the individual I had in between her.
